Irish Free State
This is an original 1921 illustration from the "Punch" magazine by Bernard Partridge.
The illustration depicts British Prime Minister Lloyd George as St. Patrick. In May 1921 Northern Ireland was created and becomes part of the United Kingdom. Following the 'Bloody Sunday' events in July of 1921 a Treaty is expidated to create an 'Irish Free State' with loyalty to the King.
This print is in excellent condition considering its age.
The print is 21 x 27 cm (approx 8 x 11 inches or c.A4) in size.
