Kaiser Wilhelm & Hitler: "Crystal Gazing"
This is an original 1939 illustration from 'Punch' magazine by Bernard Partridge titled "Crystal Gazing". The illustration depicts the former exiled monarch Kaiser Wilhelm over-looking Hitler.
The print is in excellent condition considering its age.
The print is 22 x 29 cm (approx 9 x 11 inches or c.A4) in size.
Following the death of President Paul von Hindenburg in 1934 Hitler becomes President of Germany. Hitler retains his title of Chancellor but abolishes the office of President to become 'Fuhrer'. Hitler in 1938 then calls a final election where his Nazi party win all seats in the Reichstag.
